About Us

Inspiration Tax

Owner and Founder

Emily Wilson

I intentionally operate a small, focused firm. When you work with Inspiration Tax, you’re working directly with the professional who reviews your information, analyzes your situation, and provides your tax, bookkeeping, and advisory services. During tax season, I’m supported by an administrative assistant who helps with document organization and workflow, but all technical analysis and strategic guidance come from me.

In larger firms, clients often interact with multiple team members, and the person answering questions may not be the one who actually understands the full picture. With hundreds or even thousands of clients to serve, the level of individual attention can vary. I’ve chosen a different model: fewer clients, deeper relationships, and direct access to the person responsible for your deliverables.

I focus my expertise in real estate taxation and military-related tax matters, areas where I have personal experience and where the rules can be especially nuanced. Many tax professionals are generalists. While that works well in straightforward situations, specialized areas like these often involve complex provisions that can easily be overlooked. I routinely see reporting errors and missed planning opportunities in these areas.

One of the things clients tell me they value most is the clarity they receive. Whether we are discussing tax filings, bookkeeping reports, or advisory strategies, I prioritize clear explanations in plain language. My goal is not only to deliver accurate work, but to ensure you understand the results.
